The Imitation Game is very serious as the poster implies. The movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley and many more famous actors. It’s a movie full of emotions and intelligence. Plus, it’s based on a true story. I won’t say a lot about this movie because I don’t want to ruin it for any of you. It’s a must see movie.
By far the best movie I have seen in a while (and I watch a ton of movies by the way). It’s about a boy named Mason and how he grows up as a boy. Ellar Coltrane plays the role of Mason from the age of six to eighteen. The actor doesn’t change to play young Mason and older Mason, it’s Ellar Coltrane from the beginning to the end. This movie has been filmed for 12 years to show the achieve the story of a boy’s life.
This movie was impressive for two main reasons. One being the story line. The movie portrays the word “Boyhood” perfectly. Growing up as a boy can be different to everybody but Mason’s boyhood went by, as most would call, an average American boy’s life. There are ups and downs, teenage love, a phase of drug usage… the usual. The second and most impressive factor of the movie was how all the actors within the movie aged with the characters. I think this developed a bond between the actors and character allowing a better flow of the movie itself.
Boyhood is overall one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I rate it 10/10 without a doubt.
